STYC applications now open
You can now apply to be a Second and Third Year Contact (STYC) for Fresher's Week 2014.
We're looking for keen, committed Langwith students to help welcome our new college members during their first days at York Uni. The role includes helping freshers move in to their accommodation, show them around campus, tell them about everything that is going on and accompanying them on social events throughout the week.
It's a voluntary position but it does include discounted entry to all Freshers week events, a trendy STYC t-shirt, as well as some other perks like free food and travel. Miriam Keck, Langwith Deputy-President for Welfare said 'Being a STYC is a great chance to help new students have the same amazing Fresher's Week you had 'We rely on STYCs and Head STYCs to help us make sure all our freshers feel welcome. And with this year's Fresher's Week looking bigger than ever, we're looking for the very best people!' To apply to be a Langwith STYC follow this link. Applications close on 2nd May.
Information talks will be held on Tuesday 22nd April at 7pm and Monday 28th at 6pm. Both are in LMB/002.
