Welcome to the best college at York.

 

The original college buildings were opened in 1965 by Queen Elizabeth II. The college was moved to Hes-East in 2012. The first intake of freshers arrived to a new experience at Langwith and quickly settled into all of the aspects of college life, embracing all that is on offer.

 

From move in day to the return of your keys and beyond, the college provides a welcoming community that goes beyond its walls. It is this sense of community and support for our students that underpin everything we do.

 

From the work of the Student Association and College Team to our events, sport and volunteering, we encourage our members to pursue and fulfil their potential alongside their university studies.

 

We believe that your experience within our college is fundamental to your time studying at York. In our transformation from one of the oldest colleges to being rebuilt and relocated on Heslington East what hasn’t changed is the college's commitment to each of the students who join. This makes our college experience one that means as much upon graduation as it does moving in.
