RAG (Raising and Giving) is a massive part of student life. Its all about raising money for charities throughout the year. Langwith has two RAG representatives, Alice and Jen, who organise events and fundraisers within the college as well as getting people involved in university wide events.

 

 

In the college, we've run charity nights like the hilarious Take Me Out and Mr & Mrs Langwith. We run bake sales, hangover breakfasts and sell bits and bibs all for a good cause.

 

In the wider university, we take part in the massive RAG parade every year. The RAG Parade sees all the eight colleges dress up and head in to York City Centre to parade and raid the public for cash donations. This year, we won the award for best dressed college! Take a look here.

 

This year, we've joined forces with the superb charity Hope for Children to raise a pile of cash for underprivileged children around the world. In Summer 2014, 18 Langwithians are heading off to Guatemala to trek volcanoes to raise money for Hope.
