'Endless Opportunities' for Langwith Students

Charlotte, VP Activities, updates us on what she has planned for the year ahead:

Hey everyone!

This year sees Langwith develop into a college where Volunteering, RAG and sport arehugely important on the agenda, and we want to ensure that you have endless opportunities outside of your studies.

The fantastic Hope for Children has been chosen as our RAG charity, and we want to make sure we make a huge difference to the charity. We want fundraising to be as exciting as possible and engage everyone whether it be a hilarious event, or us invading York during the RAG parade!

Day to day, I want to make sure that things are going on in the college that you guys can be directly involved with. We’re going to have a huge push on volunteering meaning there’ll be lots of opportunities for you to work with children, in sports and within the wider community, so everyone has a reason to get involved!

Though sport within the college hasn’t been the most successful of pursuits recently, we hope to replicate the successes of the basketball, women’s football and pool teams across all sports and make them inclusive within the summer term through various varsity games.

Langwith will be full of opportunities to make sure the college we love is renowned for being the best across campus.

Hope you all have a lovely Christmas and are ready for a huge year!

Love Charlotte x
