Election Results Announced
Langwith students have chosen their new committee for 2014. Symone Thompson will take over from Sam Maguire as President, leading the college in to what is sure to be another massively successful year for Langwith. The new Langwith Student Association (LSA) will replace the old Junior Common Room Committee (JCRC) from January 1st. A week of campaigning saw a fantastic turnout of candidates and voters, with almost every position being filled. The election results were announced at the glitzy annual Winter Ball at the Assembly Rooms in York. Symone Thompson, Langwith President for 2014 said: 'It was an exciting and competitive election with a lot of great candidates. The amount of people wanting to participate, run and even support the elections truly shows the community spirit we have here in Langwith, and proves that this year will surely be black and yellow.'
The new committee is already putting together big plans for the coming year, including brand new events, fresh volunteering opportunities and the flagship Langwith Day.
By-Elections will take place in the new year to fill the last few places on the committee. More information is on the way! The full election results are as follows:
